Our approach

Understanding food, knowing the right foods to eat and the positive effect a healthy balanced diet can have on your health and well being is crucial in helping you reach your health goals. However, we do think it takes more than this to make significant changes to your health. You also need support, someone who understands your lifestyle and the pressures you are under, and someone who really listens to you.

Working with us, we will spend time really trying to understand the root cause of what is driving your symptoms. Once we have found the root cause, you will see the benefits of working with a Nutritional Therapist and how life changing it really can be.

We work with people on their preconception care, IVF/ICSI prep, recurrent loss, sperm heath, endometriosis, PCOS, period problems, peri/menopause and more.

 

Nutrition

We start with you completing a short health questionnaire and food diary, then after that we will have our initial consultation. This will last between an hour to an hour and a half. During this time we will discuss your current health situation, your goals, your current diet and lifestyle. We will also discuss your your medical history, family medical history and much much more. This ensures we have a solid concrete base of information to start from.

Functional Testing

Functional testing is very useful for helping us really get to the root cause of why a symptom or health concern may be presenting. These tests often go a little deeper than the tests that would be carried out by your GP/consultant and often these test results unlock previously closed cases. I work with a number of laboratories and will only offer testing if I feel it necessary to the case.

Support

Navigating a hormone and fertility journey can be exhausting and overwhelming. I am on hand to ensure that you get the support and guidance you need every step of the way. We will check in regularly between consultations via email but you can also contact me via private messaging via my clinic software if you are worried or concerned about anything in-between times.

Supplements

Where possible I prefer my clients to get their nutrients via food sources but in certain cases supplements are used. If I recommend a supplement to you, this is because it fits with your specific health situation and I feel it necessary. I will recommend the brand and be very specific with the dosage. I am also very conscious of budget so will suggest a variety of the same supplements at different price points if necessary. We can discuss this at your consultation.

Why book with us?

We like to work with people over a minimum of 3 months, as over the years of practising, we now understand that this is the time required to see positive change.

It is important to remember that nutrition is very individual and what works for one person may not work for another. We look at each person as an individual and provide a nutrition and supplement plan tailored to your specific health conditions and concerns.

We also need time to arrange and review any test results we may think necessary and then adjust the plan accordingly.

We also do not take on more clients than we know we have the time for. It takes time to research and prepare a detailed plan as each person is different - helping you reach your goal is our priority.

 
 

In-person and remote options

We are now offering online and face to face consultations.

Online consultations are carried out over Zoom and often clients find it easier to relax when in the comfort of their own home. We also love that our clients are based all over the World!

Our in person consultations are held in our cosy clinic space in Newquay. You can find us tucked away in our cosy private clinic space and can be found at The House, Newquay.
